Since 1992 Care Data has produced "HL7-fed clinical data repositories and physician portals." As a matter of culture, we have continually sought to be the absolute industry leader in eliminating the need for scripting in interfacing and portal creation and have been obsessive about standards compliance and leverage of XML technologies - which is the best basis of code generation and graceful evolution.
Our niche then has been the market for excellent but quickly implemented CDRs and Portals. We proudly report that we have never had more than 10 employees and 10 customers, making us unsurpassed in agility and responsiveness.
CDS has licensed its facilities to about a dozen large healthcare provider enterprises, WebMD, the State of Georgia, Motorola Integrated Services Division (for Public Safety/Person Identification), and to VARs, competing successfully with Initiate Systems, Oracle Corporation, and and IBM whenever the client needed technical excellence combined with extreme responsiveness.
As an outgrowth or our constant research and development, we provide consulting services beyond clinical repository/portal implementations:
- enterprise identifier management
- canonical data design
- SOA modernization and strategic planning
Our current work forcuses on JAVA EE/Web 2.0 retooling of product line and on integration with the Support Illustrated (tm) facility from Level Seven Visualizations. These developments will make our CDR/Portal offerings the most supportable in the industry, and will allow our client sites to experience least-pain transitions to services architectures.
